Alfonso Samuel Alvarez González was born in Asturias, Spain, on 27 May 1946.
He spent his childhood and youth in his hometown before moving to Brussels, Belgium, in 1966, where he lived for 8 years, working as head of the hardware/woodworking department of a Belgian department store. There he met his wife, Maria Carmen Iñiguez Fernández; the pair married on 26 July 1969 and their first daughter was born in 1972.
In 1974, the couple returned to Spain and set up home in Asturias, where they started a family-run business, a supermarket in the centre of the Asturian town of Piedras Blancas.
In 1979, the Alvarez family moved to Torrevieja, Alicante, where they took their first steps in the world of real estate. It was at this time that they began to invest in the sector, an activity they continue to develop at present.
In 1984, a second daughter was born.
In his working life, Mr Álvarez is considered a serious, responsible and very professional man. Since 2000, Mr Álvarez has had a close relationship with the Cabo Verdean community in the area. Because of his support, collaboration, respect and affection for the community, in 2010 he was proposed as Honorary Consul in Valencia. In 2014, after the legal and bureaucratic procedures, the consular office was established in Orihuela Costa.
